For women, having a decreased sexual desire as you age is common, but not normal. Sexual health refers to a state of well-being and lets a woman fully participate in and enjoy sexual activity. It also means having the ability to understand your body and how it works. Having the freedom to express yourself sexually (or how not to) is an important part in women’s sexual health.
If desire becomes a problem, proper hormone management is recommended. Female-designed hormone therapies that include testosterone therapy are recommended as a way to boost low libido.
