Botox and Xeomin relieve the facial muscles in specific areas of your face, ranging from the forehead to the frown lines between the eyes and the crows feet. Resulting in a smoother, rejuvenated appearance by no longer allowing underlying muscles to tense and create lines, creases, and wrinkles. Botox and Xeomin are very safe and effective treatments. During your complimentary consultation, our practitioner will create a personalized treatment plan for you. Numbing is optional for Botox or Xeomin and is solely based on personal preference of the patient. The treatment takes about 30 minutes and any marks from the injections will fade in a few hours. You can return to work or attend a social event after your treatment.

Over time, our cheeks and lips flatten and the skin may begin to sag due to a natural loss of volume. Dermal fillers are designed to add volume beneath the skin and lip surface to lift and contour specific areas. During your complimentary consultation, our practitioner will review which filler will achieve optimal results. You may either sit or recline during your treatment. To avoid discomfort during treatment a topical anesthetic may be applied or a local numbing medication will be injected into or around the treatment areas. Treatment time varies from 30 minutes to one hour. You may notice moderate improvements after your treatment, however, dermal fillers work subtly to improve areas gradually over time.   1. Prior to your treatment, you will be asked to avoid certain medications and supplements. These substances may increase bleeding and cause bruising. Such as Ibuprofen, Aleve, Motrin, Advil, Aspirin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Coumadin, and Glucosamine. Avoid 24-72 hours prior to treatment.
  1. Avoid applying makeup prior to your treatment to allow the skin to breathe.

  1. You may experience swelling, discomfort, redness or tenderness at the injection site. Symptoms are typically mild and last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14-18 days in lips.
  1. Bruising and swelling is normal and expected. If bruising is visible you may take oral Arnica and apply topical Arnica cream to areas that are bruised.
  2. Blood thinners, including alcohol, increase chances and severity of bruising, so it’s recommended to avoid them for at least 24 hours after getting an injection. If you are particularly prone to bruising, it may be wise to wait a couple of days to give your skin more time heal before drinking.
  3. A cold pack or ice pack will help reduce any swelling. Within 24 hours of treatment, apply a cloth-wrapped cold pack to the treated area for a few minutes at a time. Never apply ice directly to the skin.
  4. In order to allow the filler to stabilize, try to avoid excessive movement of your facial muscles for the first few days, and in particular during the first 4-6 hours after your treatment.
  5. After treatment, avoid excessive sunlight and UV lamp exposure until any initial swelling and redness subside. Your practitioner will provide guidelines on sunscreen protection and how to avoid excessive sunlight.

kybella treatment instructions

Kybella is an FDA approved cosmetic injection indicated for improvement in the appearance of fullness associated with submental fat below the chin. Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness and contouring under the chin. Our practitioner will describe the nature and timing of expected results after your Kybella treatment. Your results will not be immediate and additional treatments may be required. At the time of injection and for several days following the injections you should expect to swell. Not all submental fullness will respond to Kybella. Our practitioner will recommend the appropriate number of treatments sessions during your complimentary consultation. Expected treatment time is 45-60 minutes per treatment. Microneedling is a procedure designed specifically to invoke the healing response in your skin by causing microtrauma in a targeted way. Using a pen with a small head that contains 10+ needles vibrating at a certain depth to pierce the superficial layer of the skin and naturally stimulating your skin to increase collagen and elastin formation. Benefits of this procedure range from reducing scarring, pigmentation, fine lines, improving the texture of your skin and exfoliating. Our practitioner recommends microneedling every 4-6 weeks until desired results are achieved.To avoid discomfort during treatment a topical anesthetic may be applied or a local numbing medication will be injected into or around the treatment areas.   1. Avoid direct sunlight 24-48 hours after your treatment. It is recommended to use sunscreen with an SPF 30 or greater. A chemical-free sunscreen is highly suggested.
  1. Please keep your face clean and do not apply makeup.
  1. Plan for professional and social downtime.
  1. Moisturize following your treatment to help soothe, calm and protect the skin at least 2 times per day over the next 3-5 days.
  1. For at least 3 days post-treatment, do not use any Alpha Hydroxyl Acids, Retinol, Vitamin A, Vitamin C or anything perceived as active skincare.
  1. Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
  1. No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment. Sweating could be harmful, spread bacteria, and may cause adverse reactions.

nova threads & instalift treatment instructions

A non-surgical procedure used to lift areas of the face. The NovaThreads & InstaLift are needles that are pre-loaded with various types of PDO threads. Our practitioner inserts the whole needle in the interstitial tissue at the subdermal level, parallel to the surface of the skin and pulls the needle out.  NovaThreads & InstaLift work simultaneously with other procedures such as Botox or dermal fillers to address a patient’s entire facial structure. You may notice effects after treatment, however, maximum effects will occur within 4-6 months while the skin is fully absorbing the PDO suture. Expected treatment time is 60-90 minutes.
